Overview

At Magic Foam WNY, LLC., we provide our customers with top-of-the-line insulation products and services. We are looking for a hard-working individual who is willing to become a trained Spray Foam Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the skill sets and abilities best suited for installing Spray Foam insulation in a variety of settings, including existing and new residential, commercial, and industrial. They will be responsible for ensuring that our products are installed correctly and efficiently, in accordance with company standards, local building codes and sound practices consistent with current industry understanding of building science. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work scope documents and photos. Review each work scope prior to installation
• Participate in the planning, preparation, and clean-up of each job. Understand and prepare each job by foam insulation materials, equipment and supplies and application. Determine equipment best suited for each job
• Learn to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate installation methods
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning them and making any necessary repairs or adjustments
• Keep clean and operate applicator guns to apply foams to designated areas.
• Smooth out wet foam to ensure even coverage and eliminate air pockets
• Inspect installed materials to verify compliance with standards and customer expectations
• Clean up work area and dispose of leftover materials properly
• Keep vehicles organized, clean and properly stocked with materials, supplies and tools/equipment
• Maintain records of completed projects, including time spent, materials used, and report any problems encountered
• Lead install team members and train new employees on proper installation techniques
• Participate in the organization, cleanliness, and safety practices in warehouse. Keep track of inventory items that need to be resupplied.
• Keep up to date with industry news and developments to identify potential improvements in products and methods
• Adhere to all safety regulations when handling chemicals and operating machinery. Must maintain required industry and company trainings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in insulation installation, construction, painting, collision repair or related field (a plus)
• Ability to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable working in hot and cold weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to submit to a background check

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade school certification in insulation installation, construction, or related field
• 4+ years experience in insulation installation, construction, or related field
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience operating insulation equipment, including Spray Foam rigs
• OSHA 10-hour Construction certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
