Sports & Pool Attendant

Summary: WindRiver offers a wide variety of amenities. Among those is the WindRiver Club Pool & Snack Bar. As the Sports &Pool Attendant, you will provide excellent and active customer service for all our Members. You will be responsible for pool operations and cleanliness, enforcing security and safety, and attending the Snack Bar.

Responsibilities:

Sports &Pool Operations

• Prepare and clean the sport courts and pool area at beginning and end of shifts per daily checklist and other needs
• Always provide professional representation of WindRiver Club and Community to all Members and Guests
• Proactively attend to Pool area needs, organization, and cleanliness throughout work shift
• Meet and greet Members as they enter the Club Pool
• Provide exceptional service for all Members' needs including, cleaning areas before and after usage, providing Snack Bar service, assisting Members ordering from Grill, attending to needs on the sport courts, etc.
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of sport courts, pool deck, pool water, water features, restrooms, tables, chairs, umbrellas, walkways and steps to pool area, parking, adjacent areas, etc.
• Assist Members with questions, comments, requests, etc.
• Post and maintain Pool area Club signage, communications, rules, etc. as provided by WindRiver Marketing
• Provide attentive and polite service for every Member
• Co-responsible with Housekeeping and Maintenance department for cleaning pool, proper chemical balance, trash removal, upkeep, and maintenance needs
• Report all equipment problems to Maintenance department

Security and Safety

• Control entry to the Club Pool by validating Member identification and sign-in registration
• Offer the Guest Pass to non-Members as needed
• Follow and enforce WindRiver safety policies, pool usage requirements, golf cart policies, and other procedures

Snack Bar

• Prepare Snack Bar prior to opening and prior to closing following opening checklist and other needs
• Precisely take food and beverage orders as assigned, either by manually entering Club Charges or utilizing POS system
• Monitor Grill orders that Grill staff will be delivering to Pool
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of snack bar facility and contents
• Maintain inventory of food concessions, drinks, and ice to ensure adequate stock throughout the day

General

• Follow, communicate, and enforce WindRiver guidelines for special COVID-19 precautions, Club updates and policies, and other Club and community communications
• Ensure all utilities and equipment (TVs, fans, grill, etc.) are turned off at the end of the day
• Adhere to WindRiver's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin
• Follow daily/weekly/monthly routines to maintain optimum standard of operation
• Provide daily shift and pool attendance reports for WindRiver management
• Provide additional F&B, Events, and WindRiver responsibilities as needed
• Attend all educational, safety, etc. staff meetings

Qualifications:

• 1-year experience at a Hotel, Resort, or Club pool a plus
• Current TN ABC license or ability to renew or obtain a license
• CPR Certified a plus
• High School Diploma preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and afternoon/evening shifts
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Excellent track record of customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with little supervision
• Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or Member needs
• Reasonable math and money handling skills

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs, lift 25lbs, stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
