Quantum Movement is a performance training company based in Vienna, VA. known for being a one-stop shop for all athletic performance needs. We specialize in biomechanical analysis of movement to optimize movement patterns for our athletes and general population clients. This experience includes functional and movement assessments, training to develop and maintain optimal movement mechanics to improve performance and reduce injury risk, as well as recovery protocols to help keep the body moving at optimal levels. Job Description
We are currently looking for a performance trainer candidate who thrives in a fast-paced and learning-focused environment. The candidate should possess an excellent work ethic and eagerness to learn that warrants them to work with some of the most promising youth athletes in the DMV. The Performance Trainer is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility, conducting performance assessments, implementing performance training programs with athletes and general population clients, and communicating with recovery specialists, clients, and other resources to ensure holistic performance training. Your goal is to uphold our standard of exceptional Sports Performance experience.
You will learn our training philosophy: how we teach movement mechanics for each sport, and how we program to improve performance attributes. You will be provided leads by the company, which you must convert to have your own clients. This allows you to have the freedom to create your own flexible schedule. As a performance trainer, there are also opportunities to coach semi-private sessions, team sessions, and travel with one of our partnership teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients on one-to-one basis.
- Participate in onboarding sessions to learn our philosophy and methodology behind Quantum programming and biomechanical analysis.
- Provide biomechanical analysis and breakdown of sport-specific movements.
- Instruct, demonstrate, and coach movement mechanics.
- Conduct postural, movement, and performance assessments.
- Implement strength and conditioning programs and tailor these programs based on the specific needs of your client.
- Communicate with recovery specialists to ensure holistic care for our athletes.
- Communicate with clientele/ their parents on scheduling, athlete progressions, and other needs.
- Available to work after 3 pm on weekdays.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in exercise science or a related field.
- National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), College Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or other nationally recognized certification required or eligible for certification.
- 1-2 years of work experience in the field is preferred.
- Experience working with athletes.
- Sports participation of at least 4 years (required).
- Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, human movement, and exercise selection.
