The Dallas Morning News Fall Internship application process is now open through Friday, November 3, 2023. The Dallas Morning News, is hiring for a Sports Intern. Interns will cover a variety of sports-related assignments ranging from high school sports to coverage of North Texas professional teams.
Reporting assignments will be a mix of daily and enterprise coverage, but there will be opportunities to cover college and professional sports, as well as GA. Weekend work is required. This internship is for Fall 2024 and usually runs from the end of August through the end of December.
All interns are expected to actively use social media in the newsgathering process and could be asked to take smartphone photo and videos. Applicants should send no more than eight published clips or links. Clips may be reduced, but must be legible, or the application will be rejected.
A cover letter and resume with references are required with all applicants.
