Sporting Goods/General Merchandise Associate

Your local Rochester Walmart Store #2330 is now hiring for our Hardlines Team! This team covers the Sporting Goods, Hardware, and Crafts areas.

Full Time shift is 1pm-10pm. Must be available Sunday and Monday nights

Starting at $16.00/hr

What you'll do

Why is Walmart America's leading grocery store? Our customers tell us one of the biggest reasons is our hard-working and happy-to-help associates. You'll find that being a sales associate will keep you moving. It's up to you to keep your aisles neat and clean, work with multiple supervisors and fellow associates, stock shelves, and answer tricky questions -- you may even have to pitch in to help check out customers. The more you know about the store, the more successful you'll be.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help customers find the products they are looking for
• Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile
• Show and sell items in Sporting Goods
• Provide customer service in service areas by selling licenses, park passes, mixing paint and cutting fabric
• Stock product to the shelves
• Keep area clean, sanitized, and customer-ready
• Use technology/apps to locate, price merchandise
• Assist fellow associates as needed throughout the store
• Complete closing tasks
• Be able to pass a background check to sell rifles/ammunition
