Staff Needed: One (1) Speech Language Specialist
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Hold a valid New Jersey educational service certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A 18A:27.1 et seq., and NJAC Title 6 Chapter 11 with a Speech Language Specialist endorsement (N.J.A.C 6:11-11.9) and other appropriate endorsements) in accordance with the requirements of N.J.A.C 6:11-10.1 et. Seg.,
- Minimum of five years of excellent teaching experience
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Demonstrate the ability to assess, treat, and provide strategies for the prevention and remediation of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Speech-Language pathology, child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, research related to learning, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Team and special education assessment and program requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community.
- Ability to interpret and assist classroom teachers with the analysis of data.
Salary: As Per Negotiated Contract
