Form of workBoston Speech, a woman and speech therapist-owned company, is currently hiring for the position of Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and assist in providing therapy to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders, as well as a variety of other disorders. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field and contribute to the improvement of patients' lives. The position is based in a school setting and offers flexible hours.
The rate of this position is $40 an hour
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations of patients
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills
- Assist in documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
Requirements
- State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- Desire to continue learning and growing in the field of Speech Language Pathology
