The Speech Language Pathologist will perform the following services in a satisfactory and proper manner:
- Perform Speech and Language Services in accordance with applicable standard of care;
- When requested, conduct individualized and comprehensive Speech evaluations according to the state and federal regulations, to determine student need for educational-based Speech as related service;
- Participate in the development of IEP's for eligible assigned students;
- Design and implement Speech Therapy services to eligible assigned students;
- Provide direct and/or indirect Speech Therapy services to eligible assigned students;
- Collaborate with IEP team members in the development and implementation of the IEP's for eligible assigned students;
- Recommend equipment, tools strategies and techniques that will enable eligible assigned students to benefit form services provided for in the IEP;
- Adapt student equipment as necessary to ensure student accessibility;
- Provide supports to school personnel and parents through teaching and the demonstration of therapy strategies and techniques, equipment and tools to be integrated and implemented into the student's school routine;
- Provide caseload information for data input, Medicaid documentation, progress reports, screening and/ or evaluations reports within specified timeframes, as required by the District;
- Comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) with regard to disclosure of personally identifiable information within the education record; and Perform other tasks as deemed appropriate and necessary by the administrator.
