Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Newton, Kansas

Position Type: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

School Year: 2023-2024

School Level: 6th-12th Grade

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Newton, Kansas for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. As a valued member of our Speech and Language Services Department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the communication and language development of students from 6th to 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in middle and high school students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support student success.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Kansas state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification.
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
