ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. On referral, provides a wide range of screening and diagnostic tests relative to communicative function specific to the areas ofreceptive language, expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, and dysphagia
2. Develops a treatment program based upon the initial evaluation, including appropriate goals and objectives, and makes appropriate modifications in the program based upon the client's performance.
3. Schedules and provides direct client treatment, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques.
4. Instructs client and/or client's family or care giving staff in appropriate home program techniques. Provides ongoing in-servicing and monitoring of therapeutic programs designed to develop, maintain, prevent regression, or improve language and speech functions, or to manage risks associated with dysphagia.
5. Evaluates and facilitates the procurement of any needed equipment or supplies related to the client's treatment plan.
6. Maintains clinical records pertinent to individual client treatment; completes required documentation in support of the clinical services provided, as required by MetroEHS.
7. Coordinates the therapeutic plan with the physician, support staff, teaching staff and/or other appropriate personnel; communicates information regarding changes or modifications in the treatment plan, or changes in client status.
8. Participates in client-specific conferences, or clinical conferences involving a variety of support team members as necessary regarding problems, progress, and ongoing needs of the client.
9. By mutual agreement with MetroEHS management staff, provides supervision for Clinical Fellows and/or speech/language therapy assistants in accordance with applicable state laws and ASHA guidelines.
10. Assists with the orientation of new personnel as directly by his/her supervisor
11. Provides and participates in in-services as requested.
12. Assists with Quality Assurance activities.
13. Performs other duties and responsibilities appropriate to a Speech/Language Pathologist as assigned.
Qualified Candidates will:
- Possesses or eligibility towards a Michigan Clinical License

Pay: $63,900.00 - $81,099.00 per year
