Pay: $32/Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Collinsville, IL. As a School SLPA, you will play a crucial role in supporting speech and language development in students. This position involves working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and other professionals to provide speech therapy services in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized speech therapy plans for students.
- Work with students both one-on-one and in small groups to address speech and language goals.
- Assist in the assessment of students' communication skills and progress, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide support during speech therapy sessions, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for students.
- Implement strategies and techniques to improve students' speech and language abilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support a holistic approach to student development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or related field.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) from an accredited program.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to speech-language pathology services in schools.
