Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Education Specialist plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities. The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, such that the students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplemental aids, accommodations, and other needed supports.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher
Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate or the new Mild/Moderate Support Needs AND/OR Moderate/Severe Disabilities or the new Extensive Support Needs
California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC
