The RN Specialty serves the patient, the physician and other staff members by assisting in the delivery of specialty health care and patient care management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments
- Provide patient education and answer questions related to specialty procedures and diagnoses
- Perform nurse triage related to the specialty
- Maintain the patient file, records and other information comprehensively
- Incorporate nursing theory to deliver patient care
- Perform selected nursing and administrative duties
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient history and vital signs
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
- Give injections and apply splints and dressings
- Assist physicians in preparing for and performing minor surgeries and procedures
- May be responsible for disclosing results of diagnostic work to patients following the physician’s results and answering questions
- Maintain strictest confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited nursing school
- Current Oregon RN license
- Healthcare provider level BLS/CPR certification
- 1+ years of professional nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in relevant specialty
- Experience with an electronic medical record system
