Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent working relationship with BLE’s customer account holders. This includes expanding customer contacts; regular customer visits and developing consistent account strategies.
  • Acquires in-depth working knowledge of all BLE attachments to include best practical applications and product limitations.
  • Works with Service Department personnel at all sites to ensure best practices
  • Develops and maintains accurate attachment inventory database and availability.
  • Communicates attachment product specifications and applications to customers to meet their specific needs.
  • Identifies working groups related to heavy equipment rental industry and actively participate in their organizations.
  • Ensures revenue growth and services at assigned customer account(s) while meeting customer needs
  • Develops and maximizes market share in the heavy equipment attachment rental markets
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining data on area and customer sales.
  • Regularly travels to participate in national/international industry related sales events and tradeshows.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education, Skills and Requirements: 

  • 2–4-year degree in construction management or similar field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years sales experience within the heavy equipment industry and/or 5 years’ experience in the related field
  • 3-5 years knowledge of hydraulic attachments for heavy equipment preferred.
  • Technical & mechanical hydraulic experience preferred.
  • Strong Computer Navigation Skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office and Wynne System
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing
  • Knowledge of frequently used Sales and Customer Relations Concepts, Practices and Procedures
