HybridAs a Principal Material Program Manager, you’re a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you’re able to lead and influence without direct reporting relationships.
In this role, you will be a member pf the ESSM Program(s) and are the the liaison between Global Supply Chain and the ESSM Program. This role specifically will be in support of proposals as well as management of missile critical requirements supporting both ESSM Missile, as well as NATO Launcher. You’ll create and execute Material Product Strategies and the Material Product Plans to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through contract closure.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Develop and execute Material Program Plans, Subcontract Management Plans, and other strategic planning tools
Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity plans to meet program commitments & proactively manage mitigation plans
Supporting financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Collaborate with Supply Chain functions and Integrated Product Team for support, as needed
Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for gate reviews
Oversight of subcontractor execution performance
Forecasting material sales and meeting commitments
EXIM compliance
Travel
Qualifications you Must Have:
Typically requires 5+ years of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Program or Project Management experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with budget management, finance or Earned Value Management System
Effective leadership and communication skills with proven ability to interact at all levels of management.
Ability to resolve problems in a timely, effective manner including exercising judgement in complex or ambiguous scenarios
Must obtain MPM certification level 3 within 1 year of hire
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications we value:
Experience with Supply Chain strategies, processes and procedures
Experience working in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Program or Project management experience
Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills
Certified Material Program Manager to Level 3
Earned Value Management Certification
Experience with MRP systems and / or tools
Experience working with Risk and Opportunity Management
Experience with proposal preparation or management
Qualified CORE/Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Computer experience including the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
