RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures that teaching staff implement the local district's teacher's written instructions when working with the assigned student in individual and small group sessions.
- Organizes and facilitates the day-to-day operation of the Home Instruction program.
- Acts as a liaison with teaching staff, program support staff, assigned student(s), parents and designated local district personnel.
- Assigns and scheduleS teaching staff to home bound student cases.
- Identifies appropriately certified teaching staff for the program and referring them to Human Resources for on-boarding.
- Assures teaching services are delivered in a timely manner.
- Provides guidance and training as necessary to teaching staff to avoid potentially dangerous and inappropriate situations when instructing assigned students.
- Reviews teaching staff time sheets.
- Addresses problems, conflicts, concerns with the services provided as they arise.
- Informs the Program Manager of any problems, conflicts, concerns with the services provided in a timely manner.
- Prepares reports, projections, summaries, etc. as assigned.
- Attends on-site and off-site meetings, workshops, staffings, etc. as directed and needed.
- Assists with staff interviewing, selection, retention, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H. S. Diploma, Post-Secondary education preferred.
- Experience coordinating a program, service, etc.
- Demonstrated successful experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with the NJDOE Certification requirements of teaching staff for Home Instruction, preferred.
- Familiar with Subchapter 10 of the NJAC, preferred.
- Must pass CHRU background check
- Must have recent [within 2 years] Tuberculosis screening
- Experience working in a school district.
