Description
The Essex Vicinage Human Resources Division is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, under the general direction of the Court Executive 2b (Human Resources Division Manager) or other supervisory personnel to perform administrative duties related to the recruitment unit. The selected applicant will facilitate the recruitment processes according to vicinage recruitment procedures along with EEO/AA through NeoGov for designated recruitments, developing notices of vacancies/ advancement/ promotion and reassignment opportunities; post announcements to appropriate venues, qualifying resumes and scheduling interviews; tabulate scores, obtain approvals via the Selection Disposition forms; extend job offers and closes recruitments in accordance with the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and vicinage policies; consult with the EEO/AA Officer for oversight; conducts employment background check on selected candidates, including fingerprinting, internet searches and employment references; prepare appropriate correspondence to the selected candidate and those not selected; ensure all recruitment tasks are monitored and disposed of timely and efficiently; close out recruitments in the Judiciary Human Resources Information Systems (JHRIS); and other tasks as required.

Salary:The hourly rate for this position is $26.98.

Qualifications
Testing: Applicants selected to interview must pass an appointing authority administered examination to demonstrate keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of 25 words per minute or must have otherwise demonstrated this competency as detailed below.
The appointing authority administered examination is waived for the following applicants who have been deemed to possess keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of 25 words per minute:
- All applicants who possess a current typing proficiency certification issued by the New Jersey
- Judiciary staff that have permanent status in a career service title requiring a keyboarding
- Judiciary staff in unclassified titles requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test.
Supplemental Information
Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting. All data received will be kept in strict confidence except to inform the individual of the findings and what action will be taken as a result of this information.
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
