Reports to Executive Office Special Projects Manager
Background: Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a community health center providing medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities in Jefferson, Bibb, Perry, and Chilton counties. We are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home and Joint Commission accredited organization, committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. Purpose: The Special Projects team assists the CEO and COO directly with a variety of projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Be a member of a cross-functional team supporting the Executive Office and Operations as needed
- Assist with billing
- Assist with operations, including administrative tasks typically assigned to Medical Assistants and Receptionists
- Assist the scheduling team
- Participate in trainings for the various areas that may be cross-covered
- General administrative support for data entry, data management, and audits
- Runner tasks, including meal pickup and deliveries between sites

- Self-starter; can maintain motivation on all projects even when report back meetings get delayed by other organizational priorities
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently through to-do lists
- Possesses a strong work ethic and dedication to creating excellent work product
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally as needed to clarify and accomplish tasks
- Willingness to communicate directly with patients and vendors in a friendly and professional manner
- Willing to pinch hit for other positions when mobilized (e.g., receptionist, medical assistant, billing)
- Passion for Cahaba Medical Care’s Core Cultural Competencies (C4) including Crucial Conversations
- Advanced skill and proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office and computers generally
- Willing to learn new skills
