We are seeking a Special Events Bartender to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible
for taking customer orders, making drink recommendations, keeping the bar area clean and inviting, all
while maintaining a high level of professionalism that will attract guests to want to return to the property.
The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, driven and is passionate.
This job is part-time and is only for events that are listed below with the possibilty of more dates or the possibilty to move into a full-time position when it opens. If hired, you would start training immediately and then put on the events schedule.

- Must have an active Food Managers Certificate upon start date
- Must have an active TABC license
- 1-3 years of experience as a bartender and server required.
- High School Diploma preferred
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, beer, as well as bar equipment
- Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishments
- Knowledge and education in mixology an advantage
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work flexible schedules. Must be able to work any shift and must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays and weekends.
- Be able to reach, bend and frequently lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays. Able to work in a standing position for long periods
- Quality customer relations
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Greet customers and present beverage menus with the ability to build rapport with guests
- Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the proper age to purchase alcoholic beverages.
- Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
- Prepare and serve alchoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
- Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs
- Upsell drink and snack items to customers
- Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion
- Maximize quality of customer experience
- Attempt to limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by following establishment procedures
- Process transactions using the POS system and balance the cash register at the start of each shift
- Itemize bills correctly and secure payment as required.
- Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas
- Comply with all TABC and company health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies
- Utilize a silent service approach and maintain a clean environment.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism that will attract guests to want to return to the property.
- Exhibit selling techniques with proper knowledge, and service delivery of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as pool tables and food items.
