This program works with young adults ages 18-22 on employment skills, post-secondary training, independent living, and recreation and leisure.

About Zumbro Education District (ZED): ZED is an education district made up of six member districts that offer, among other things, Special Education services and programming. ZED has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in Kasson (MN) which is 13 miles away from the city of Rochester (MN).**ZED has opened a newly 61,000 square foot constructed building for all programs in Kasson (MN) starting in the 2022-23 school year.
Job Summary: The Transition Teacher will deliver Special Education services to students ages 18-21 based on an appropriate IEP. The teacher is responsible for delivering functional academic, social, behavioral, communication, and sensory programs that will lead towards an increase in independence in the core transition areas. The Transition Teacher is also responsible for needed assessment, diagnostic and due process services required by the federal and state standards.
Required qualifications: Must be currently licensed by MDE in a Special Education teaching area
