Position Purpose
- Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' skills and competence in one or more fields of science, including general science, life science, and chemistr; develops students skills and abilities in scientific methods and problem-solving, as well as an understanding of the application of science in the solution of practical problems.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught; thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents.
A belief and commitment to the Five Relational Strategies: express care, share power, challenge growth, provide support, and expand possibilities. A desire to be a Warm Demander, which is an individual that expects great things from their students, convinces them of their own brilliance, and helps them reach their potential in a disciplined, structured environment.
Specific Tasks:

Required Qualifications - Bachelors Degree and in interest in entering the education field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Passion for social science education and commitment to promoting student learning and success.
