Special Education Teachers receive a $3000 hiring bonus paid over three years.
Job Summary:
Responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality educational program to meet children's academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. The Special Education teacher is a partner with the guardian and support team in developing, implementing, and monitoring the student Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Required Endorsement:
Valid Iowa teaching license with 5-12 Instructional Strategist I Mild/Moderate Endorsement (#261), or Willingness to Obtain.
Highly Qualified candidates for this position will possess:
Previous classroom teaching experience.
Experience in an urban school district.
CPR certified
Position Details:
Contract days vary by assignment
7.75 hours
2022-2023 Salary schedule attached. 2023-2024 Salary will be attached upon availability.
Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.
