Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general Education Teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address the unique learning needs of each student.
- Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications to facilitate student progress.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and individualized plans.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in Special Education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teachinglicense or ability to obtain one before the start of employment
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is desirable.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patient, compassionate, and empathetic attitude towards students with special needs.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
As an employee of Sunbelt, you will be paid weekly and offered benefits if you are working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
