We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with extensive support needs, particularly those with moderate to severe disabilities. Your main responsibilities will include providing personalized instruction, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with other educators and support staff, and fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that empowers students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Create and adapt instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Employ various teaching strategies and techniques to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance students' learning experiences
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Provide behavioral interventions and support to manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and social interaction
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• State required teaching licensure/certification for Special Education must be held, and active
• Must have reliable self-transportation
