Qualifications: Proper Connecticut teacher certification for K-12 Special Education (165 or 065) required; knowledge of and experience using applied behavior strategies and managing a team of para educators; ABA certification preferred; thorough knowledge of PPT process and experience creating, managing and implementing IEPs; strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive case management, planning and instruction directly to students requiring social, emotional and behavioral support; provides training, support, and guidance to a team of para educators; co-teaches; communicates and collaborates with teachers and families; implements IEP and leads PPT processes.
Terms of Employment: Start date 11/27/2023. Salary and benefits in accordance with Agreement Between The Board of Education And The Avon Education Association.
