Description:
The LIU12 programs for students in Life Skills Support are designed to provide students with rigorous research and standards based academic content at their instructional level. Focus is on building academic and functional skills utilizing research based strategies. At the secondary level, the focus is on providing students training to become successful in community and work-based settings.
Qualifications:
Valid PA Special Education Certification: PK-12 or 7-12
Experience with students with special needs, preferred
Will consider applicants with teaching certification in other areas and/or experience, who are willing to obtain certification in Special Education.
Terms: Full-time, 188 days/year
Salary: Minimum $47,157/year plus benefits*
*The LIU offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including:
