Special Education Teacher

Full Time/Part Time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (Kennebunk, ME)
ProCare is looking for a great teacher to fillan opening for a Pre-K Special Education opening in Kennebunk for the remainder of the 2023/24 school year. We have needs for a full time and part time professionalsto work with the early childhood population of students.

Job Details:

• Early childhood (Pre-K)
• Full time hours: 35hrs/week
  • 7:45am-3:15pm
• Starts Jan 2nd - EOSY
• Caseload:
  • Pre-Kindergarten
  • 11 students
  • Needs include: ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, behavioral/self-regulation challenges
• Parent-teacher conferences as required
• Onsite position

Basic Responsibilities:

• Providing SDI
• Supervise Ed. techs as needed
• Create IEPs for required students on your caseload
• Design and put to work lesson plans that meet the specific needs and abilities of your students.
• Monitor and track student progress
• Provide accommodations and modifications to support student learning
• Work with other teachers, administrators and faculty to meet required services for each student

Qualifications:

• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Special Education or a related field.
• Hold avalid Special Education teaching certificate from the Maine Department of Education.
• MEEarly Childhood certification required
