Special Education Teacher

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher nearCreedmoor, NC to join our vocational career program at the high school level. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting 16 students with diverse learning needs, focusing on vocational skills such as resume writing and other essential job-related skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
• Deliver specialized instruction to help students acquire vocational skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job-specific tasks.
• Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage students with varying learning styles and abilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and mutual respect.
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure the successful integration of students with disabilities into the vocational program.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians and the school's administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working in a high school setting, preferably with vocational or career-focused programs.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their full potential.
• Openness to receive training and willingness to learn and adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.
