QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in any Science Dicipline (2210, 2220, 2240, 2260, or 2270) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities (2475)
2. Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
3. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
The successful candidate will demonstrate the knowledge of how to develop rigorous learning targets aligned to the NJ Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) in Science, select appropriate resources and instructional materials, and use data to identify and plan for specific accommodations and/or adaptations for individual or groups of students with disabilities according to the Individualized Education Plan. They will also demonstrate an understanding of how to modify the district curriculum to fit the needs of the students with disabilities in their classes. The full Job Description is attached.
The position starts in August 29, 2024.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
