Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a Special Education Generalist (1.0 FTE) to finish the 2022-23 school year. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado teacher license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement. Must be able to make core class curriculum modifications. Must have patience, flexibility, sense of humor and the ability to be a strong team player with collaboration skills. This position is part-time with the only fringe benefits being participation in the PERA retirement program. In order to consideration for this position you must complete the online application.
Exact placement on the pay schedule can only be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 15 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 16, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
*This position is eligible for both a new hire bonus of $2,000 and a hard-to-fill bonus of $2500.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
