Spa Receptionist

Tree Spa at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport is seeking a Spa Receptionist to join their team!

Job Summary:

• Represent the spa at all times though professional appearance and interactions. It is expected that attire/appearance is work appropriate and attractive/presentable at all times in order to best represent the image of the company and provide a positive first impression for guests.
• Building and maintain relationships with clients by warmly interacting with them while they await services.
• Provide tips on available products for sale in the spa.
• Keep a record of business transactions be registering new clients, receiving payment, reconciling daily, coordinate services, and issue invoices.
• Have a vast knowledge of products and services offered by the spa with ability to answer questions and provide accurate information for new clients seeking the best treatments for their needs.
• Seek feedback from guests after services are performed. Relay feedback to the Spa Manager as needed.
• Provide guidance to clients on the procedures at the spa
• Answer telephone calls and provide accurate information to clients
• Keep the reception area clean and conducive for clients as they wait for their turn to be attended to
• Introduce new beauty products to clients and educate them on their uses and benefits
• Keep clients updated on currently available promotions and discounts in services offered in the Spa
• Process payments from clients for services ordered from the spa
• Keep register of long and existing clients for them to enjoy benefits given to loyal customers
• Give appointments to clients on specific days
• Open and close the spa at the appropriate time
• Ensure that the front desk is clean and organized for free movement
• Assist in getting client feedback on level of services delivered in order to improve on service delivery
• Inform staff members of appointments that have been canceled by clients, and also alert staff members of the arrival of clients who come without prior appointments

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Able to work weekends and into the early evening
• Ability to remain moving on feet or standing for up to 8 hours (100% of shift).
• Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk the property during shift, frequently requiring up and down stairs repeatedly.
• Ability to lift items overhead and bend/reach frequently.
• Ability to visibly survey property areas clearly.
• Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Technology and Equipment Used:

• Point of Sale Software
• Reservations Software
• Multi-line Phone System
• Cleaning Chemicals & Tools (mop/bucket, broom, sanitizer bucket)

Working Environment:

• Full service resort including cottages, full-service restaurant, spa, event center, and other amenities.
• Work will primarily take place in a hotel spa environment, as well as some exterior work (patios, lawns, travel between locations) with exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
• Group and solo work.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals, to be used only as instructed.
