JOB SUMMARY:
This position contributes to the success of Los Angeles Athletic Club by creating positive experiences for every member and guest who visits the club by creating luxurious, comfortable, and relaxing environment and providing a variety of manicure and pedicure modalities. Using elevated guest service, the Nail Technician will also suggest spa retail and fitness products and services to meet the individual needs of each guest.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide effective and safe nail services that meet the members' needs and expectations.
- Effectively perform general spa tasks
- Create a luxurious experience for members and guests
- Consistently adhere to the Los Angeles Athletic Club Core Service Standards.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
MUST HAVE:
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATION:
- Required: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in same or similar positions in the Spa or Salon industry
- Required: Valid California Cosmetology License
- Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ideal: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Required: Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Required: Flexible schedule.
- Required: Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.
- Ideal: Bi-lingual oral, speech, and writing skills in English and other language is an asset in this position
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ideal: Computer Experience
- Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey messages clearly and compose correspondence with correct and proper grammar.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DEMANDS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds

Schedule: Hours may vary on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Pay: Hourly $19.73, plus commissions
