Position Summary:
Responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. The IHC (InmunoHistoChemistry) Sourcing Specialist executes strategic plans regionally. The sourcing team is accountable for developing and maintaining the supplier relationship with the critical suppliers working collaboratively with Supplier Quality Assurance, Sustaining Engineering and Purchasing teams to achieve this. Some key aspects of this role are supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation as well as being a point of escalation for the purchasing team if they have exhausted their routes to resolution for all supplier related disputes and negotiations.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the sourcing of direct and indirect materials
- Execution of global supply strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business objectives
- Proactive cross-functional collaboration to effectively select suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and manage supplier performance and relationships.
- Understand portfolio risk profile and develop mitigation action and plans.
- Optimize key supplier performance and innovation.
- Influence business decisions and implement supply in optimizations.
- Facilitate Supplier Relationship Management through development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators; establishes collaborative environment with key supplier
- Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage cost benefits
- Drive cost savings, meeting business financial needs, through effective strategies and negotiations.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BA, BS, or equivalent experience in related field
- Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager Experience
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred.
- Project / process co-ordination experience.
- Experience with contract set up and management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, quality and supply chain processes
- Experience of supplier selection and performance management.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise.
- Background in Biology or Protein Chemistry is preferred
