Solutions Architect - GIS Enterprise - Electric Utilities

What You’ll Do:

• Development of technical vision and direction, roadmap, and alignment with business targets. Oversee execution of vision into tangible outcomes within R&D, system architecture, products, and services. Delegation of tasks and projects to sub teams.
• Leverage seasoned experience within GIS, software development/deployment, and IT of self and others to achieve outcomes in critical infrastructure, workflows and products. Nurturing and enforcing best practices.
• Functional requirements gathering, quality control design, diagrams, and mockups as part of technical documentation, and maintaining, implementing, and monitoring a system of quality control.
• Defining architecture specifications, skillsets, development environment, development approach as solution architect or with solution architect, and participation in identifying technical requirements in proposal writing, estimates, identifying areas of concern or risk.
• Designing and supporting quality control methods within GIS Data Infrastructure and coding frameworks, while maintaining an expert level of technical expertise in self and team by identifying individual training needs and scheduling appropriate training programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, IT, or Computer Science from an accredited university or equivalent technical degree
• 15+ years of work experience in (10 years in GIS/ESRI products, 5 years in Consultation of hardware and software deployment and support, 2 years in IT or tech support, 2 years in database management
• One or more ESRI Technical Certifications – Enterprise System Design Professional, Enterprise Administration Professional, Enterprise Geodata Management Professional
• Certification in GIS (GISP), Cloud deployment, or related technology is a plus.
• Programming skills in Python, SQL, JavaScript, C# (backend or frontend)
