Summary of Position
We need an ambitious and skilled Solution Engineer who will work directly with our prospects, clients, and internal team to advance the sales, implementations and overall product capabilities. This role plays an integral cross functional role by working with the product team to refine product capabilities, by working with the implementation teams to assist with the most difficult challenges as well as improving their capabilities and finally by assisting in some sales cycles where advanced capabilities are needed.
At 3GTMS You Will:
- Design advanced TMS solutions
- Work with project teams when advanced assistance is needed
- Develop best practices and implementation process improvements
- Work with Product Management to review new features and provide input
- Provide field level rollout of new features through development of training materials
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have a BS degree in Logistics, IT, or Engineering, plus 8 years of industry experience; or a minimum of 10 years of industry experience
- Have extensive experience with Non-Asset TMS, such as 3G, Oracle TM, SAP TM, Blue Yonder, Mercurygate, Blujay, JDA, or CH Robinson
- Have extensive Knowledge of North American Over-the-Road modes (TL, LTL, Parcel, intermodal.)
- Are a creative problem-solver
- Possess great listening skills.
- Have excellent communication skills and can influence internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to travel. Implementations often require working on-site at the customer's location. Travel will be 0% - 80% depending upon the project.
- Technical knowledge and skills related to software solutions (SaaS environment), such as API and XML familiarity.
