As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.
About the Role
Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant with Financial Management / ERP expertise, to join our Professional Services Industry focused Solution Consulting team.
As a member of our strategic team of Solution Consulting Professional and Business Services (PBS) finance experts, you will be the face of Workday Financials and PS solutions to our prospective customers in the PS space. You will engage prospective customers as a key member of the sales team, responsible for leading discovery calls, collaborative product solution development and delivery of compelling product demonstrations.
At Workday, we help Professional Services customers transform to realize unique efficiencies and pervasive insights afforded by our best-in-class single system-of-record for people, projects, financials and business intelligence. You will leverage your industry and finance knowledge, polished presentation skills, and collaborative sales team experience to articulate the differentiated value of the Workday solution, expanding the adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS) in the Professional Services industry space.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. - The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
- To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.
- To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.
- Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.
- To assist sales in the response to RFIs
- Ability to travel 50%
About You
Basic Qualifications - Solution Consultant
- 3+ years of extensive financial domain expertise, including 1+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as project accounting
- 3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g. Workday, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Zuora, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Basic Qualifications - Sr. Solution Consultant
- 5+ years of extensive financial domain expertise, including 3+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as project accounting
- 5+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g. Workday, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Zuora, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- 5+ years in a cloud-based Solution Consulting professional role
Other Qualifications
- Experience in financial management within Professional and Business Services, a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally
- Exceptional and dynamic presentation & communication skills
- Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to C-Level Executives, talking to and selling to the office of the CFO specifically.
- Experience presenting cloud-based solutions to both functional and technical audiences and experience with value based selling, a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, AND/OR equivalent work experience
