Provides technical expertise and support to advance the functions of Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) information system.

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of Information Systems.
• Coordinate with external companies and the University community to improve information technology performance.
• Provide technical support and training to departmental users.
• Provide IT support and administration for TMAC’s Automation Lab.
• Address software and hardware requirements, compatibility issues, and collaborate with Office of IT (OIT) to implement solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with University IT policies and procedures.
• Ensure departmental compliance by implementing necessary changes and tasks in response to policy updates.
• Manage portable device removal/return processes in accordance with compliance standards.
• Responsible for departmental inventory management including computer check-outs, computer returns, and decommissioning machines.
• Conduct annual inventory to ensure compliance with UTA policies and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive IT support to Cross Timbers Apex Accelerator staff.
• Provide virtual, on-demand IT support to TMAC Business Operations division and all TMAC regions outside of the DFW Metroplex including technical and A/V support for internal and external events/meetings.
• Develop comprehensive training materials to provide training to users on IT hardware and software applications.
• Support IT functions at departmental events including a/v, presentation setup, etc. as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least three (3) years of IT experience in a business setting or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior experience providing technical support in a professional setting and examining root causes of technical issues as they develop.
• Experience developing technical solutions and improvements to streamline internal processes and increase efficiency.

• Solid analytical and problem solving capabilities to troubleshoot IT issues and develop solutions.
