Software Support Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Software Application Specialist will play an integral part in the coordination and implementation of software configuration, installation and upgrades. In your role, you will be the technical liaison between business units and the IT department for software configuration, managing software applications and identifying deficiencies in documentation and developing technical/user documentation for a variety of applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. SQL Database management and SQL Programming ability
2. Integration and pulling of SQL data from various software systems.
3. Have working knowledge of data creation and manipulation to generate complex reports in Microsoft SQL, SSRS and Crystal Reports.
4. Have understanding and working knowledge of creation and upkeep of Company Intranet using Google Sites.
5. Support business systems.
6. Work to support end users with application training and assist IT Help Desk with hardware, network and mobile device troubleshooting.
7. Experience with Vista ERP.
8. Provide backup support to Networking Manager is a plus.
9. Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's, Bachelor's degree or certification in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• 3-5 years' experience with Crystal Reports and SQL integration
• 3-5 years' experience with SQL Database management, SQL programming and SSRS.
• Be comfortable supporting business systems and company networks
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently
• Proficiency in MS Suite with applied skill using Excel formulas

SAFETY AWARENESS:

• Ability to provide self with a safe work environment when working with various software and information technology equipment.
• Ability to understand safety parameters surrounding electrical and circuit boards when working with or around servers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar;
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
• Normal vision range (with or without corrective eye ware);
• Ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols 100% of the time.
