Position Summary
The Software Quality Assurance Tester creates, modifies and implements test plans while using scripts for all terminal type hardware testing, software testing, updates testing results and provides status reports. This position reviews proposed requirement changes and additions as it relates to the Lottery terminals and peripherals. The Tester must be able to install and maintain the terminal hardware in the AZ UAT environment. A Software Quality Assurance Tester understands and follows standards and best practices for SQA and CMMI.
Job Duties/Key Responsibilities:
  • Sets up system test environments using production data restores.
  • Performs regression testing of new releases for all terminal applications, peripherals and software changes.
  • Coordinates application software releases and updates to terminals in UAT.
  • Provides support to Lottery and SGI employees for terminal functions.
  • Maintains and updates terminal and software test scripts.
  • Navigates Jira system for Jira status and changes.
  • Monitors Jira tickets during terminal and software testing process.
  • Follows terminal and software testing procedures of the Systems Department.
  • Communicates status updates to the Systems Department.
  • Collaborates with systems and operations departments for testing and field support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience in terminal product hardware and software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows file directory.
  • Must have MS office package computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Server OS.

Job Conditions
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, minimum.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend and stretch at least 50% of the time, sometimes more.

  • Associate degree and/or 5 years of related work/industry experience or combination
