Form of workPeraton is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be supporting our team in the Linwood, NJ location supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Join our Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) program that supports the FAA safety mission and Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) objectives by developing automation and information systems and services to address future air traffic requirements and providing aviation users with digital AI that conforms to international standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements, concept of operations documents, and system descriptions to develop test plan and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results.
- Participate in after-actions review to address lessons learned and areas of improvement opportunity, as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Pblic Trust Security Clearance
- Must have a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience or a master’s degree and five years’ experience.
- Experience ensuring software is functioning according to user requirements.
- Experience conducting system acceptance testing in accordance with approved test plan and test procedures.
- Experience interfacing with clients, technical support personnel, and other technical professionals to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Experience monitoring the progress of each activity and providing status updates as required.
- Experience efficiently writing, revising test procedures for the desired program, and evaluating the product to attain the desired quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience evaluating and testing new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify those programs.
- Experience with conducting system acceptance testing on FAA Systems
- Testing with SOAP tools
- Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) 5.1
- Extensible Markup Language (XML)
- Experience with Web Services testing
- Linux Operating System
