Education: BS/BA degree in Engineering Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or Engineering. Experience and/or training in a high-level programming language such as C++ and MATLAB.

Typical Work Day:
Position Background: The Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Applications (MSEA) product suite supports modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed. The Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis and research and development.
Typical Day supporting the MSEA /NGTS team:
You will be leading the NGTS Testing team for the MSEA branch. You will be testing software for an advanced synthetic training environment. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. You will support software development, software integration, testing, customer training and demonstrations.

• Install and run regression tests on a new NGTS test build (multiple builds weekly).
• Test a variety of Jira issues from new feature implementation to bug fixes to database queries.
• Document test results discovered issues in Jira.
• Collaborate with NGTS software developers and subject matter experts during training sessions.
• Create new test procedures documents to validate new requirements.
• Communicate access a large team to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis.
• Run extensive regression tests when software reaches Release Candidate (RC) phrase.

Required and/or Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Minimum Years of Experience: 10-year experience with testing/developing software products and leading teams.

• Minimum 4-year experience leading a software testing team using Agile & Waterfall Development Methodologies.
• Minimum 4-year experience with testing/developing software products.
• Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such as C++.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages in Python 3, and HTML.
• Prior experience supporting Model and Simulation efforts.
• Prior experience supporting automated testing.
