Software Engineering Lead (Web/Java)

As a Software Engineering Lead on the Digital Team for both web and mobile, you will lead engineering scrum teams to develop high quality code in creating next-level, large scale solutions for JPMorgan Chase's many Lines of Businesses. You will manage the build of solutions that provide delightful user experiences and help identify opportunities to develop solutions that are broadly applicable across web and mobile channels while expanding our customer value proposition. Your deep experience in application design, solutions architecting, development and testing will be required to set strategic technical direction and solve complex problems. As a lead, you'll ensure that our solutions are elegant, resilient, easy to integrate with and of the highest standards. You will be at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, so your experience understanding product roadmaps and business goals will be critical. You will play an integral role in making sure that our solutions are developed in accordance with firm-wide risk & architecture guidelines.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS in Computer Science / Engineering or a similar technical degree
• Overall 10+ years of experience in delivering technology solutions
• 8+ years of web and/or mobile development experience
• Hit the ground running with an API-first mindset
• Work with a team that develops smart and scalable solutions and provide a solid experience for our customers
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, the Java/J2EE stack
• Experience with building APIs - RESTful APIs, Web Services, Spring Boot
• Working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)
• Strong coding fundamentals - Algorithms & Data Structures
• Advanced knowledge of architecture & application design processes
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in processes
• Strong bias for action; ability to take ownership and think long-term
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
• Experienced working with a variety of stakeholders across technology and business groups
• iOS/Android development is a plus
• Experience developing mobile applications using Objective C, Java or C# is a plus
