• The test engineer will design and enhance automation tools and frameworks for large scale systems that can be use by others in the company.
• The engineer will be responsible for creating a robust automation framework ensuring scalability and reusability, and for maintaining a controlled test environment that can be used by various departments across the company.
• The engineer will collaborate with all the teams, leverage all existing scripts and create one common test environment for all applications.
• The engineer will participate in open-source projects.

What You Will Do:

• Create brand new or enhance automation/regression frameworks.
• Create, enhance, run, and debug automation tests for new and existing features.
• Provide test methodologies to execute complete code coverage and bridge test gaps.
• Actively participate in open-source community meetings.
• Perform test across a variety of parameters and topologies, including System Test Automation, Automated Regression Testing, Tests for L1-7 networking, manufacturing tests.
• Assist in debugging, isolating root cause in customer test environment and provide necessary workaround to keep customer networks operational.
• Troubleshoot L2-7 protocols and other related technologies as well as troubleshooting protocols on various Ethernet platforms such as 10M to 800G+ Ethernets.
• Research and write test strategy documents in various newer platforms such as 10M to 800G+ Ethernet.
• Required to configure and provide guidance for non-Keysight/Keysight equipment; strong debug and troubleshoot skills
• Responsible for one major feature: accurate effort estimation, progress tracking and status reporting.
• Highly skilled in debugging layer1 issues, experience with hardware testing for example cable tests, manufacturing quality tests etc.
• Organize and provide input in FS/TP review.
• Required to translate Marketing Feature/Product Requirements Documents (FRD/PRD) use cases in test scenarios;
• Required to maintain up-to-date documentation (TP/TC)
• Required to provide input in customer support escalations.
• Adheres to Keysight documented QA practices and standards; Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Bugs: Root cause isolation, steps to reproduce, problem description, proper logs and files attached.

Must be a full-time student pursuing MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related areas.
Course work in some of the following areas is helpful :

Object Oriented Programming, Networking, Distributed Systems, Storage, Security, ASIC design/verification, Verilog/VHDL, FPGAs, AI/ML, Software engineering, Software Testing/Verification.

Keysight Internship Program Requirements

Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2024. Applicants who have graduated before September 2024 will not be considered unless they are entering/applying to a MS or PHD program after graduating.

California Pay Range: $31.00 - $40.50

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
