Responsibilities
Join our dynamic and diverse Peraton Technology Services Team on site, at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), as a Software Engineer reporting to the IT department supporting the Environmental Test and Integration Services program. You have the unique opportunity to be engaged in exciting space projects in the GSFC state-of-the-art facilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing, editing, and maintaining SharePoint sites
- Maintaining site security - permissions and access
- Creating user-friendly forms and business processes through SharePoint
- Capable of designing applications that can be easily navigated by non-technical users
- Familiarity with C/C++, MATLAB, or LabVIEW is less desired, but can still be relevant
- Experience with laboratory hardware interfacing
- Data acquisition devices, multimeters, oscilloscopes, NI devices, etc
- Capable of understanding technical manuals
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online
- Candidate needs to be familiar with database design and communication
- Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc
- Experience with database communication through C#, Java, Python, etc
- General software experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- IDE experience (Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, Spyder, etc)
- Communicate effectively with non-technical users
- Explain or demonstrate applications to non-technical users
- Respond to requests or inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering or STEM degree with one to four years of experience
- In lieu of degree, six or more years of experience in software, SharePoint experience
- Experience with C#, One of more years of expereince with Sharepoint
- Experience with creating programs, modifying programs
- DBA experience
- DVMS is a plus
Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
