Description:
We are currently hiring a Software Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA to support the development of Warfighter Machine Interface (WMI) software for US Army manned ground combat vehicle platforms. The Universal 360 program will develop an affordable 360-degree situational awareness capability for manned ground combat vehicles by developing and integrating multi-band surveillance and targeting sensors, electro-optic / infra-red (EOIR) situational awareness sensors, image processing and fusion algorithms, and an intuitive WMI.As a Software Engineer with DCS, you will work with the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center to modernize the Army’s fleet of ground combat vehicles and provide advanced sensor technologies that will improve situational awareness by developing and integrating WMI software. Primary Objectives: 1.You will work with Human Factors Engineers (HFEs) to develop intuitive graphical user interface software needed for warfighters to achieve and maintain local situational awareness during closed hatch missions.2.You will work with cross functional teams to understand vehicle architectures, including network topology, subsystem component relationships, video architecture, and subsystem component interfaces required to develop Warfighter Machine Interface (WMI) software and integrate with sensor subsystems, image processing and fusion algorithms onto manned ground combat vehicle platforms.3.You will provide onsite support at customer and US Army facilities where you will load, configure, and maintain WMI software in System Integration Labs (SILs) and ground vehicle platforms.4.You will provide onsite support for military exercises and field demonstrations at various military bases you will travel to.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.•4+ years proven C++ programming experience using AGILE software development techniques•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction•Independent thinker, proven problem solver, and troubleshooter•Experience programming in a Linux and Windows OS environments•Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the secret level•Experience using Wireshark for packet sniffing to verify command/response across a network subsystemDesired Skills (Not Required)•Real-Time, embedded software development experience highly preferred•proven sensor integration experience, including interfacing with sensor systems using traditional video interface standards such as GigE Vision, Cameralink, etc., to provide command / control and to receive data / video •Experience developing digital video software applications •Warfighter Machine Interface experience is a desirable but not required•Experience working alongside military teams
