DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Translate business requirements to equivalent technical specifics and develop software application modules. Develop software solutions and microservices by examining system flows, data usage and work processes. Understand the architecture across all application platforms and integrate them with performant Database systems. Work in the entire lifecycle of application development including design, analytics, development, coding, testing and maintenance. Utilize automated testing frameworks to develop testing programs and test-automation suites. Identify application system bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Design, develop and deploy scalable systems with high-volume transaction processing. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Associate Consultant, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Associate Consultant, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Agile SDLC; Microservices; Apache Kafka; J2EE; Jenkins; Spring; Hibernate; Java; SQL; REST; AWS Cloud Services; MongoDB; Oracle; DB2; Splunk; Junit; Spring Boot; MQ; and Unit Testing.

Full-Time. Salary: $169,229.00-$180,000.00 per year.
