Position Description:
We are looking for Software Engineers who are excited to apply their talents to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer's challenging projects. Our platforms are primarily built in a Linux environment using JavaScript and Typescript, with React.
Position location is on-site at prime's office in south Boulder, Colorado 5 days per week.

The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with a good understanding of technical engineering concepts. You have demonstrated experience in writing consistently high-quality code using industry best practices. You enjoy a complex user story and tackle sub-tasks with little oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript with React
- Optimize applications, ensuring UI/UX feasibility
- Implement API designs and architecture
- Communicate effectively with other departments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solution that meet the needs of our customers.
- Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.
- Debug and fix issues.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
- Deploy software applications to production environments.
- Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Clearance Requirement:
- This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
- 5 to 15 years of experience specifically in a Software Engineering role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)
- Professional hands-on Software Engineering experience using JavaScript and TypeScript with React
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skill
- U.S. Citizenship
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
- Experience building backend web services and/or native applications
- Experience with C++, Python
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologies
- Experience with database design (eg: Postgres, NoSQL)
- Experience with messaging middleware (eg: ZeroMQ, KAFKA)
- Experience with Atlassian tools
- Willingness and ability to learn new languages as necessary
- Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $175,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
