SOFTWARE ENGINEER II
Responsible for the implementation of user interface, business logic and database layer functionality of multi-tiered web applications for an Application Service Provider (ASP).
LEVEL

• Bachelor's degree in a related area with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field
• Or: a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the field
• 2 years' experience developing and leading solution implementations with Microsoft .NET, using a combination of ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server.
• 2 years' experience using SQL Server, including data modeling, TSQL and Stored Procedures.
• 2 years HTML, JavaScript and CSS for modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and IE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for translating functional requirements and high-level design of components and modules into a developed and tested, multi-tier solution, including user interface, business logic and database.
• Implement solutions on the Microsoft .NET platform, within an existing application development framework.
• Provide support to Sr. Software Engineer and\or Technical Architect during systems development lifecycle.
• Follow the strategic direction of the department as a whole and providing suggestions to improve the company and department processes.
• Maintain in-depth technical expertise in all areas of Microsoft products, industry trends, competitive offerings, and applies it to the business needs of customers.

SKILLS /QUALIFICATIONS

• Production experience with ASP.NET applications.
• Product development experience desirable.
• Experience working within an iterative development process desirable.
• C#
• ASP.NET (Including a solid understanding of View State and Basic understanding of ASP.NET Caching)
• Moderate SQL Server knowledge (basic data modeling, how to properly JOIN tables when building queries)
• Moderate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
• Understanding of OOA/OOD
• Experience with an ORM framework
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to work within defined timeframes.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework, including ASP.NET
• Knowledge of software design techniques, including object-oriented analysis and design techniques
• Understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement them.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES

• Understanding of Inversion of Control (IoC) Principle
• Understanding of Dependency Injection
• Node JS
