Software Engineer - Commercial Communication Systems

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Software Engineer - Commercial Communication Systems in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located at our Gaithersburg, MD office.
Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deliver, and support software for complex commercial satellite Communication Systems, application and products.
• Develop real-time software for protocols, algorithms and products using C and C++.
• Develop management and control platforms for networks scaling from very small to very large.
• Research, design and test system solutions for algorithms and protocols in small teams with experienced engineers and make applications perform optimally over IP-transport built on top of satellite networks.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a closely related field plus 18 months' experience in C/C++.
• Experience must include 18 months in each of the following: Google test framework, LTE, Python, Bash/shell scripting, Linux, HTTP, Git, Clearcase, and GCC/G++.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
