We're seeking a Principal Cloud Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to work on a cutting-edge massively parallel enterprise platform built with Java and open-source software. This platform enables data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure, and we need your expertise.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution.

Other Requirements:

• A minimum of 20 years of experience in similar SWE programs and contracts.
• Open Source Committer: Willingness to actively contribute to open-source applications.
• Java Pro: Proficiency in Java programming for distributed systems, with networking and multi-threading experience.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo, Apache NiFi, and agile development.
• Linux and Scripting: Strong grounding in Linux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
• Version Control: Experience with source code management practices and tools, including Git and Maven.
• CI/CT Skills: Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing using tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/Pipelines.
• Monitoring: Familiarity with continuous monitoring using the ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Nagios.
• Microservices: Understanding of microservices software development and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
